Wikinomics TEDx events


The Wikinomics present is delighted to present TEDxGeneva and TEDx Ostroleka, two TEDx event dedicated to eCulture in a wikinomics era.


TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to “ideas worth spreading”. Started in 1984 in California as a four-day conference about Technology, Entertainment, Design, TED has broadened its scope and grown to support those world-changing ideas with multiple initiatives. TED speakers have included Bertrand Piccard, Al Gore, Stephen Hawkins, Peter Gabriel or Julian Assange. Programming is neutral and banned all commercial speech, political or religious. On April 7th, the presentations, each lasting between 10 and 20 minutes, will be either in French or English.

TEDx was created in the same spirit of sharing ideas worth spreading for universities , businesses and local communities to enjoy a similar experience. The “x” indicates that it is events independently organised while respecting the strict criteria defined by TED . TEDx , today, it is 1500 TED Talks totaling over a billion views on the internet, more than 1,000 conferences annually in more than 130 countries including Switzerland .
